The Dovecote Gallery and Studios is located in the idyllic surrounds of county Sligo in the West of Ireland. A converted agricultural building boasts drawing and painting studios, a pottery with commercial kiln and gallery space. This calm and tranquil setting inspires creativity in many forms. Art classes are offered in drawing, painting, ceramics and creative textiles amongst others. Artists' talks, masterclasses, music events and curated exhibitions run alongside these taught classes and, in time, we aim to introduce an artists' residency programme.
Ceramics, painting and drawing classes are led by Tessa Marsden who is a practicing ceramicist and painter. Tessa received BA Hons First Class in Fine Art in 2008 and in the same year was recipient of the John O’Leary award and the Governor’s medal for painting.
Alongside the scheduled programme of classes, The Dovecote offers tailored classes for group bookings and individual tuition. Please get in touch if you would like to book a class, hold an event or curate an exhibition at The Dovecote.
